Preface
Currently, the Korean Peninsula is in an important economic and political transition period. The order around Northeast Asia calls for fundamental change.
Considering the current North Korean nuclear issue and discus- sions on sanctions by the international community, political solutions are hard to see.
If so, it is necessary to find a new way only in the economic field. The expansion of inter-Korean economic cooperation is an inevitable process not only to resolve the strained inter-Korean relations but also to create a win-win community between the two Koreas.
This is a task to set the right direction and continue to pursue with patience.
In this context, it is important to consider North Korea, a partner of cooperation, while taking a new approach to economic cooperation between the two Koreas based on the grand design of the Korean Peninsula.
Based on this, this book was designed to find out what and how we should do in the future to reduce the gap between world history and Korean history and establish peace on the Korean Peninsula.
We hope this book will be an important research material for re- searchers, policymakers, and general readers interested in economic co- operation between the two Koreas. The Northern Part of the Korean Peninsula.
