Currently, the Korean Peninsula is in an important economic and political transition period. The order around Northeast Asia calls for fundamental change.
Considering the current North Korean nuclear issue and discussions on sanctions by the international community, political solutions are hard to see. If so, it is necessary to find a new way only in the economic field. The expansion of inter-Korean economic cooperation is an inevitable process not only to resolve the strained inter-Korean relations but also to create a win-win community between the two Koreas. This is a task to set the right direction and continue to pursue with patience. In this context, it is important to consider North Korea, a partner of cooperation, while taking a new approach to economic cooperation between the two Koreas based on the grand design of the Korean Peninsula.
