The December issue examines the deepening cooperation among North Korea, China, and Russia amid the postRussiaUkraine war reconfiguration of the international order, and its structural implications for Northeast Asia. It analyzes Russia’s shift in external strategy based on a worldview that distinguishes between the “West” and the “World Majority,” and considers how this reorientation is reflected in changes in North KoreaRussia relations and their implications for the Korean Peninsula. The issue also reviews recent developments in border areas, focusing on concrete changes in logistics infrastructure―including new bridge construction and the modernization of railways and ports―that point to the emergence of a restructured economic space in the Russian Far East. These developments highlight a dual reality in which closer North KoreaRussia cooperation adds constraints to the regional security environment while also generating geoeconomic opportunities linked to the Arctic shipping route and Eurasian multimodal transport networks.
