Part 1 of this series of two articles based on the book Faire du terrain en Corée du Nord (Doing Fieldwork in North Korea) discussed the epistemological challenges of fieldwork inquiry in a “closed context” such as DPRK.[1] In the second installment of this series, we will explore alternative approaches and methodologies to conducting such fieldwork.
