The objective of this study is to analyze the literary educational content in the 2013 revised korean curriculum of North Korea. Analysis shows that first, literature is one of the top categories that divide north korean subjects, second, literature is taught in reading education, composition education as well as knowledge education, third, the weight of literature increases as the grade increases, and forth, literature plays a central role in korean language education in view of the purpose of North Korea education, the cultivation of revolutionary communist. Also, this study examines the system and elements of the literary educational contents in the level of knowledge education and ability education. Analysis shows specific aspects on types of text, basic principle literary knowledge, literary history in knowledge education and analysis and creation based on knowledge education, reading in appreciation of the text and quantified literary act in ability education. This results hold significant implications for planning literary education in the era of reunification. They include an integrated perspective on literature in the era of reunification, solutions to modifying the status of literature in integrated curriculum, selection of literary works for textbooks and the establishment of reunified literary history.
