This thesis focused on the curriculum development directions of Korean classical literature education after reunification south and north. The first stage of the survey made a comparison between the south and north curriculum and textbook. In North Korea, classical literatures are selected through significance in history of literature and taught to understand, appreciate, and recite. The problem of ideology can not be excluded in curriculum, but the curriculum have a resemblance to discipline-centered curriculum. Generally, model of curriculum is divided into objectives and contents centered model. According the former, the aim of curriculum of Korean classical literature education is a recovering the ethnic homogeneity of North and South Korea. Through appreciating Korean classical literature, the cultural literacy will be experienced and learned. But the former could not prove correlation the objective and the contents. Besides, the classic has become only about tools for objectives. The latter focuses on the intrinsic value of Korean classical literature, so curriculum is made up learning unit to explore that value.
