Choun is representative writer of Yeonggwang regional literature. He was almost the only sijo poet in North Korea from 1949 when he defected to early 1960s. This study aims to find and to introduce last 6 works published in North Korea by Choun. Technique of expression is a common point of these 6 work. In conventional lyric poetry, author tells his own experiences but Choun’s 6 works are somewhat different from them. He uses secondary experience expression technique. Firstly, patriotism of characters are represented in 「unforgettable May 1」, 「A song of a old remigrant」 and 「A pumpkin cigarette holder」. Choun achieved spatial continuity with the reality of socialism in North Korea through the works. Secondly, indirect experiences of anti-Japan commando were shown in 「Take this gun, my friends」, 「A hop of powder of roast grain」. and 「Before this snow melts」. and 「Before this snow melts」. Choun achieved temporal continuity with the history of socialism in North Korea through the works. He would continuously have faced crisis of identity when he was in North Korea. These 6 works contains Choun’s methodological effort to achieve continuity by renewing himself in the socialism of North Korea.
