Recently, China has made multilateral efforts to make Baekdusan as their own. Theoretically, Chinese dynasties of many generations had jurisdiction over Baekdusan, and thus they advocate 'theory of Baekdusan culture' that Baekdusan is theirs. Strategically, they are making a multilateral development of Baekdusan to maximize political, economic and cultural gain. However, South Korea nearly has no research claiming our reversion right through a historical research intensely made on Baekdusan. The fact is that we, in an emotional dimension, claim “Baekdusan=Korea's”. North Korea's research and recognition of Beakdusan is inferior to that of South Korea. North Korea puts no attention to the background of China's 'theory of Baekdusan culture' appearance or its actual condition and problems. Moreover, North Korea has no research on the actual condition of China's developing Baekdusan. North Korea gives priority to promoting Baekdusan only as a shrine of the Kim IL Sung family's anti-Japanese. Therefore, a research is urgent to reveal our historical reversion right of Baekdusan.
