China and North Korea were the countries that had shared historical experiences each other which both of them clung to socialism together and struggled to resist imperialism. However, since China was reconciled with the USA and took a way of reformation and open door, it has drifted apart from North Korea. Moreover, North Korea was so disappointed that China formally established diplomatic relations with South Korea. North Korea has gradually taken its own way after that and stated that it has held nuclear weapons for its security ultimately. China seemed to defend North Korea’s situation due to its geopolitical value at the first time, but recently, it is creating new tension with North Korea with apparently revealing its intend to support the de-nuclearizing policy concerning Korea Peninsula. China is expected to get closer to the USA to secure its national profit of the G2 era in the future and develop the relations with South Korea to persue supremacy in Northeast Asia. It is remarkable how the future relations create between China and North Korea in this situation.
