Eleven years have passed since Korea and China had opened their diplomatic relationship. Ever since, the two countries have been getting closer day by day and building up a good relationship. In particular,it became plssible to realize the normalization of diplomatic relations between the major countries of East Asia following the joint participation by South and North Kroea in the United Nations,the establishment of China-Korea diplomatic relations,and the settlement of the North Korean nuclear weapon issue. In the long run,China is recognizing the importance of political and diplomatic sympathy with South korea as a means to extend its influence over the Korean peninsula.Moreover,South Korea requires the cooperation of china in order to increase its influence in East Asia.With this political intention,China and Korea have increased their in the process of building a new international order and solving internaitonal disputes in East Asia.this doctrine has been expressed as the establishment of a 󰡒companion relatoinship󰡓in efforts to reformulate the international order in East Asia.Finally,the cooperation between china and kroea is essential for the purpose of buildig the base for the promotion of South-North Korea economic exchange and the eventual peaceful reunification of South and north Korea.
