The purpose of this study was to suggest overall facilitating plan for ‘Horse riding tour’ in Korea. There are several obstacles to the growth of horse riding industry. For example, as the perspective of tourism, there is no legal basis for developing a ‘Horse riding tour’. Moreover, only 28% of total riding facilities were registered as sport facilities. We focused on two different aspects of ‘Horse riding tour’, attractiveness, and infrastructure and demand or supply side. Firstly, several strategies were analyzed for enhancing the attractiveness as follows. ‘Hosting the FEI World Equestrian Games’, ‘Equestrian Game with North Korea’, ‘developing a new tourism product with horse riding at a tourism destination’, ‘dividing a place into two different purpose for people and horse’, ‘setting up a theme park for various experiences with horse’, and ‘operating a horse riding facilities environmentally and friendly for its sustainability’.Secondly, we also suggested other approaches for improve an infrastructure and demand or supply side as well. ‘Education, training and regulation modification’, ‘improving awareness and publicizing of horse riding’, ‘developing a hot spot for each type and supporting for culture and event program’, and ‘developing an online framework for providing an information’. The detailed strategies were presented in this study. Those strategies and its implications might help practitioners as well as policy-makers.
