Kim Sunnam was one of many Korean composers studied in Japan during the colonial period. Although he was appreciated as "(small) genius"(by the american pianist Ely Haimowitz) or "a musician like B. Bartok in Hungary or Sibelius in Finland, a musician in one hundred years"(by the video-artist Baek Namjun), he must have been forgotten long time, because he went to North Korea. Before his defect to North Korea he wrote lots of art songs like 「Sanyuwha」, 「Jindalekot」 which should be the epoch-making Korean art songs (by the critic Park Yonggu). This paper assumed that these songs of Kim Sunnam's interpret origin the poem of Kim Sowol's and explores questions how the music relates to the poem-text in his songs compared with other versions 「Sanyuwha」, 「Jindalekot」 of Kim Sungtae's or Kim Dongjin's.
