This paper shows a study on the imagery of women in the postwar-poetry of North Korea. Image as a significance vehicle is the principal component in poetry. Nevertheless, studying on image has been neglected by the studying field of North Korea poetry so far. Women as main characters in the postwar-poetry of North Korea are mother, wife, lady, girl, and woman of foreign. The image of mother means motherland, wife means an active worker or a worrier, lady means an active worker or a pillar of society, girl means a bud of hope for the Asian socialization, and woman of foreign means army comrade for the world's socialization. Mother as motherland vehicle appears solo, but wife appears with her husband fighting in battle, lady appears with her lover fighting in battle, girl appears with a foreign soldier as supporter, and woman of foreign appears with North Korean soldier or children wounded in battle. Women related to Korean war is the special characteristics of postwar-poetry of North Korea.
