The main goal of this paper is to represent principal points of view existing in Russia regarding some global and regional aspects of emerging security system in East Asia. These opinions are also illustrated by different facts and estimates derived from Russian, Western and Asian sources. Information about global and East Asian security issues articulated in Russia is useful especially in order to understand reasons and logic of Russia’s foreign policy in this critically important region. Security issues are vital to whole nations, so effective dialogue should be open, straightforward and honest.
