Issues on women reveal clearly character of revolution carried out by North Korea. Experiment of North Korea intending liquidation of discrimination of women shows vividly slogans of revolution and concrete process of revolution and consequence of revolution. North Korea carrying out social revolution and traditional Korean society before liberation took opposite view about social activities of women. Promulgation of law on equal rights between men and women must have caused much conflicts among people. Collisions between revolutionary value and traditional value represent aspect of such conflicts.
Subject on women policies of North Korea contribute to grasping points that interest of revolution and interest of the State conflict. Targets of social revolution collided with political and economic goals of the State in various ways. Subject on women policies of North Korea presents an approach showing what the State took a more serious view between the both. This study aims for examining that strategy of North Korea intending achievement of national goals disturbed realization of revolutionary value and thus caused instability of women’s status after liberation. Namely main object of this study is search on origin of North Korea’ women policies.
