This article focuses on examining the origin of the Sino-North Korea Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation Mutual Assistance signed on July 11, 1961. China’s perception of North Korea will also be explored through the signing of the Sino-North Korea Friendship Cooperation Mutual Aid Treaty. What does China think of North Korea? We also look at the fact that “interests” work underlying China’s perception of North Korea. The reason why I want to consider the relationship between North Korea and China in the framework of “interest” is to approach the reality of Sino-North Korea relations hidden by “blood alliance.” I think that each ‘interest’ works in Sino-North Korea relations. This article is one of the products of the process of inducing a perspective on Sino-North Korea relations, which is confined to the frame of “blood alliance,” from a macro perspective. China’s understanding of North Korea’s perception is also a process that must be reviewed in expanding China’s perception of the Korean Peninsula. I would like to explore the main aspect of the “North Korea-China Friendship Cooperation Mutual Aid Treaty,” which is hidden by the name of “alliance” and “blood alliance,” amid changes in China’s perception.
