[학술논문] 1910~20년대 조선 주둔 일본군 헌병대의 편제와 역할 변화

This article examines the organization and changing role of the Japanese military gendarmerie stationed on the Korean Peninsula before and after the 1919 March 1 Movement. The gendarmerie played a key role in Japanese imperialism’s colonization of Korea. In particular, the gendarmerie was primarily responsible for policing colonial Korea until the “gendarmerie-police system” was abolished
