...해방을 배경으로 펼쳐지는 소설가 이태준의 단편소설ㆍ중국 동북 지역 조선인 시문학ㆍ재일조선인 소설 작품, 8.15를 맞이했던 전남 보성군 회천면·북한 사회·재일조선인 사회 등 지역의 모습을 보여 주며, 서로 다른 국가(지역)에서 해방을 겪으며 환희와 공포에 휩싸였던 그때의 풍경으로 안내한다. 또 현재 ‘코리언’이라는 이름 아래 모인 남과 북의 청년, 재중조선족과 한국인, 재일조선인과 한국인의 대담을 통해 지난 80년의 세월이 가져다준 서로의 차이점을 이해하고, 다르지만 닮아 있는 코리언들의 연결 끈으로서 8.15의 의미를 새롭게 확인한다. 이를 통해 레드 콤플렉스를 극복하고 냉전적 인식과 혐오를 넘어 반차별주의와 페미니즘을 지향하는 코리언들의 미래를 함께 그려 본다.
