[뉴스] [단독] 美의회서 '종전선언' 법안 또 발의… 親北단체 등 지원
브래드 셔먼(70) 미국 민주당 하원의원이 이르면 이달 중 한반도 종전선언, 미국과 북한 간 연락사무소 설치, 국무부의 평화협정 로드맵 마련 등이 포함된 이른바 ‘한반도 평화 법안(Peace on the Korean Peninsula Act)’을 발의할 것으로 알려졌다. 이 법은 과거에도 셔먼이 총대를 메 두 차례 의회에 상정됐지만, 공화당을 비롯한 정치권 주류의 동의를 얻지 못해 번번이 폐기됐다. ‘한반도 평화’란 이름만 들어서는 그럴듯해 보이지만 북한 김정은과의 직접 협상을 시사한 도널드 트럼프 대통령과의 대북 정책과 맞물려 한국에는 재앙적인 결과를 가져올 수 있다.
