The purpose of this paper is to analyze what could be the main issues related to contents when developing the Korean grammar textbook for unification, which is used jointly by the two Koreas during the transition period before unification. To this end, we compared the contents of grammar education dealt with in textbooks related to the Korean language of the two Koreas. As a result, we identified four major issues that could be raised in the process of developing Korean grammar textbook for unification as (1) content weight by grammar area, (2) characteristics of grammar education contents by school level, (3) contents scope and perspective for the same grammar item, and (4) standardization of school grammar terminology. A separate discussion will be needed for each issue on how to resolve each issue for the development of a unified grammar textbook.
