초록
DPRK uses social control mechanism towards its people to maintain its ideology, living and physical punishment. Through this kind of social control, even though there is an irrationality and contradiction about socialism system, people do not resist and adjust them to the system. Kim IL󰠏Sung, who is a founding father of DPRK’s social control system, and his son, Kim Jung󰠏Il, he advanced its social control system after he experienced the collapse of East󰠏European bloc’s socialism system and his father’s death. But, due to its regime’s contradiction, DPRK’s inner part was kind of instable, and it did not solve its problem and Kim Jung󰠏Il passed away. Therefore, naturally, Kim Jung󰠏Il’s son, Kim Jong󰠏Un became the next leader of N.K and until now, he sustains his regime. However, as time goes by DPRK’s social control mechanism faces its limit. About ideological control mechanism, due to the inflow of outside information, its main ideological theme, Juche ideology and groupism are losing its strong ideological function. Moreover, about living control mechanism, which was chocked its people, it became nominal due to the invigoration of market. Now, physical punishment control mechanism, which is reign of terror is the only way to suppress its people’s discontent and resistance. But, we do not know, until when it could control its people through that way. That is the reality of the DPRK, at this time. Therefore, through this study, it will be possible to derive the weak point by analyzing how the social control of North Korea changed in the Kim Jong-Eun era, and it will lead the regime change. The main purpose of this study is to guide policy implication for our goal to make a better N.K policy.
