In order to achieve the research objectives, this study reviewed previous studies on North Korean tourism, factors influencing North Korean travel, and extended planned behavior theory. For empirical analysis, a structured questionnaire was conducted for university students representing Generation Z, and a total of 220 samples were used for statistical analysis. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis, and mediating regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 22.0. As a result of the analysis, it was verified that tourism exchange perception, attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral intention all had a significant positive influence on North Korean travel intention, and attitude partially mediated tourism exchange perception and North Korean travel intention.
