[학술논문] 지역사회 통일교육 현황과 활성화 방안: 광주광역시를 중심으로
...거의 대동소이하며 경직되고 획일적 내용이 주를 이루고 있다고 평가할 수 있겠다. 반면 민간사회교육기관의 경우는 대북지원사업의 중단, 현 정부의 지원 배제와 재정이 열악하여 활발한 통일교육을 못하고 있는 실정이다. 지역에서 통일교육의 활성화를 위해서는 우선적으로 정부의 대북정책에 변화가 있어야 한다. 지방정부의 지원 속에 지역통일교육 단체들이 참여하는 ‘거버넌스’를 구축할 필요가 있다. 지방정부와 대학, 통일교육센터, 통일운동 시민단체, 언론 등이 유기적으로 연계하는 '협력적 거버넌스'(collaborative governance)협의체를 구축하여 지역 통일논의 활성화에 적극 나서야 한다. 민주인권평화도시를 지향하는 광주광역시는 광주형 평화통일교육모델을 개발할 필요가 있다.

[학술논문] 지자체 기반의 사회 통일교육 활성화를 위한 과제
...수 있다. 특히 통일교육이 정부 주도로 계획 실행됨으로써 사회 통일교육의 다양한 주체들에 대한 관심이 부족했을 뿐만 아니라 지역적 특수성과 차이를 고려하는 사회 통일교육이 제대로 자리 잡지 못하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 앞으로 사회 통일교육이 보다 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 지방과 지자체의 독자성과 특수성에 기반 한 지역 중심의 사회 통일교육이 활성화되고 강화되어야 한다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 글의 일차적 목적은 거버넌스(governance)의 관점에서 민주적이고 다층적인 지역 지자체 기반의 사회 통일교육을 확대 강화할 수 있는 구체적인 과제들을 점검하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 사회 통일교육 거버넌스의 배경과 의의를 검토한 후, 사회 통일교육을 활성화하기 위한 대안들을 제도와 교육의 차원에서 제시하고자 한다.
