[학술논문] 군사분쟁과 세력균형의 상관관계에 관한 연구
본 논문의 연구목적은 국가 간, 특히 강대국 간 힘의 분포(power distribution)와 국제사회의 안정(systemic stability)에 관한 세력전이이론(power transition theory), 패권안정이론(hegemonic stability theory), 세력균형이론(balance of power theory)의 이론적 논의를 계량적으로 분석하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 1885년부터 2002년까지 국제체제에서 발발하였던 군사분쟁(militarized conflicts) 사례들을 압도적 힘을 보유한 패권국의 존재와 군사분쟁, 체제 내 패권국가로의 힘의 집중과 군사분쟁에 관한 연구가설을 중심으로 계량분석 방법을 활용하여 검증하였으며, 이를 통해 강대국 힘의 분포에 관한 세 국제정치이론의...
