[학술논문] 소비자문화변용 과정에서 소유물이 가지는 문화변용동인으로서의 역할: 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 한 실증적 연구
본 연구의 목적은 한국으로 이주한 북한이탈주민들의 소비자문화변용(consumer acculturation) 과정과 그 과정에서 소유물(possessions)이 가지는 문화변용동인(acculturation agents)으로서의 역할에 대하여 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 소비자문화변용 연구에서 주로 사용되었던 민속지학적(ethnographic) 방법을 통하여 총 11명의 북한이탈주민들을 심층면담하였다. 먼저 정보제공자들이 한국으로 이주하기까지의 이주과정과 그들이 겪은 이주 전후의 소비 경험, 그리고 북한에서 가져온 물건과 한국으로 이주하여 새로이 구매한 물건들에 대하여 상세히 기술하였다. 그리고 Berry(1974, 1980)의 문화변용 모델에 기반을 두어, 정보제공자들의 문화변용 결과를 동화(assimilation)...
