[학위논문] 김정은 정권의 대미전략 연구 :‘균형’이론을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 북한 김정은 정권의 대미전략을 고찰하는 것이다. 김정은 정권은 김일성이 탄생한지 100주년이 되는 2012년 ‘강성대국 진입’을 달성해야 하는 유훈과 함께 대미 균형 전략을 계승하였다. 이는 항구적 핵무력 건설을 통해 당당한 핵보유국 지위를 확고하게 유지하면서 경제발전을 병행하는 전략노선을 의미하는 것이었다. 따라서, 김정은 정권은 대외적으로 비핵화 위협에 대응하고, 대내적으로 조기에 당-국가체제를 정비하고 병진노선의 가시적 성과를 달성함으로써 정권의 정통성을 확보해야 했다. 이를 위해 북한은 체제 생존과 번영을 위한 전략적 차원에서 대미 균형 전략을 지속적으로 추진하였다. 즉, 북한은 미국의 비핵화정책과 대결하기 위해 대외적으로 중국의 대미 균형 전략과 연계하여 미국
