[학술논문] 1960년대 VUNC(유엔군총사령부방송)의 운영과 폐쇄
이 연구는 한국전쟁이 시작된 직후 미군의 대한반도 심리전을 위해 출현해 1971년 방송이 종료된 VUNC(유엔군총사령부방송 Voice of United Nations Command)의 1960년대 운영과 폐쇄과정을 고찰하여, VUNC의 역사적 의미에 대해 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 당시 VUNC의 방송목표와 역할은 무엇인지, 어떤 조직체제로 운영되었는지 살펴보았다. 또한 어떤 문제들이 제기되고, 어떤 요인들이 영향을 미쳐 완전 폐쇄되었는지 고찰했다. 연구 결과 VUNC는 1950년대 세계적으로 냉전체제가 심화되면서, 미국이 북한과 북한에 주둔했던 중국 인민지원군 및 중국 본토에 대해 반공 심리전을 전개하고, 한국에 대해서는 미국과의 관계를 더욱 밀접한 상태로 만들면서, 남한 청취자들에게 미국에

[학술논문] 동해표기의 국제법적 고찰 - UNCSGN과 IHO 결의를 중심으로
지난 2012년 4월 모나코에서 개최된 국제수로기구(IHO) 총회에서는 동해표기 문제가 논의되었으나 한국과 일본간의 견해차이로 인해 결론을 내리지 못하고 차후 총회에서 다시 논의하게 되었다. 동해의 표기와 관련하여 한국은 일본과 표기에 합의할 때까지 UNCSGN 결의 Ⅲ/20 및 IHO기술결의 A.4.2.6에 제시되어 있는 것처럼 동해(East Sea)와 일본해(Sea of Japan)를 병기하자고 주장하고 있다. 반면에 일본은 일본해가 국제적으로 확립된 명칭이기 때문에 일본해를 단독으로 표기할 것을 주장하고 있다. 제3차 유엔지명표준화회의(UNCSGN)에서 채택된 결의 Ⅲ/20은 2개국 이상의 주권하에 있거나 2개국이상으로 분할되어 있는 지형의 국제적 표준화의 필요성을 고려하며, 다른 명칭으로 그러한 지형을
