[학술논문] 북한 미술교육에 관한 질적 연구: 탈북미술가들의 구술자료를 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 북한의 미술교육을 살펴보고, 탈북미술가들의 미술교육적 체험을 논의하는 데 있다. 연구 방법으로는 구술자료를 활용한 내러티브 탐구의 질적 연구방법론을 사용하였다. 연구참여자는 북한에서 포스터, 선전물 제작자, 만화가로 활동하다 남한으로 온 탈북미술가 네 명이다. 연구내용으로는 탈북미술가들의 학습생애사를 통해 다양한 미술로의 진입 경로를 살펴보고 북한 미술교육의 특징을 고찰하였다. 북한의 미술교육은 체제 선전을 위한 주체미술교육을 목표로 사회주의 리얼리즘에 입각한 재현 중심 교육내용으로 이루어져 있다. 교수법으로는 빠르게 그리는 속사와 오래 관찰하는 모사, 야외 실사를 반복하며 사실적 표현 기술을 습득했다. 그 외 석고 소묘 및 미술사 교육에서도 차이점을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 특히 북한의 “1호
